Firstly, most TOUGH DOG coil springs raise a 4WD vehicle around 50mm (longer lengths available). This lift height provides a useful increase in ground clearance, which can be the difference between getting hung-up and powering on to enjoy your 4WD trip.
At around 50mm, most 4WDs fitted with TOUGH DOG coils will enjoy the benefits of better clearance and still have good stability and control in most on or off-road conditions. g the ‘tallest’ 4WD in town?
Secondly, most TOUGH DOG coil springs are a ‘true design’ raised-height coil. Some 4WD suspension suppliers, or spring makers, just aim to give you coils to hold your 4WD up.
When you purchase a TOUGH DOG coil spring, the free-length of the coil is, typically, at least the same, or slightly taller than the factory original, and an extensive range of spring rates and designs are configured from there. This allows for increased suspension travel, and for the impact of the terrain to be absorbed through a greater range. The end result provides the very best in on and off-road driving performance.
Thirdly, we take extra care. For full-size 4WD vehicles, such as the popular Nissan Patrols and Toyota Landcruisers, we have around half a dozen configurations for both front and rear of the vehicle. We take into consideration your 4WDs set-up, usage, as well as personal expectations.
